Last Sunday was my bro's engangement day, almost took 1 month to complete his hantaran (decorated set of gifts to him/her during Malaysian engangement /wedding ) wif my Mom and Sisters. We love to do DIY projects together. So this is the results, i'll upload more photo next week in this same post ok :D
The theme color is gold - yellow - red.
I am the one who picked those lovely yellow artificial flowers, the gold wrapping paper and the 1.5inch cream-gold ribbon.
While my older sister and my mom suggested the gold coral twigs, small corner cream artificial flowers, the red-yellow small artificial fruits and the red butterflies.
we pick square polysteryn as the base for each of them so that the decorations can be glued/pinned on the base, plus for stability when changing hantaran.
the total cost almost RM150++ including the glue gun, glue sticks, souble sided tape, scissor, penknife and etc......so in future we can re-use the tools and the base.
The flower decoration was made by my Mom and older sister. While i am in charge in wrapping and decorating the polystren base which made me burned my finger few times with the melted hot glue...ouchh!! and stay up few nights. But it's ok, i'm fine and i'm satisfied with the result. My Mom and older sister also stay up few nights.
My fav are the fruit basket(my mom idea) and the ring decorations(my idea). the most challenging is the elle handbag, since it is so big which made it difficult to stand on the base. so than i pun a love shaped polystren as the stand, behind the handbag.
